OPERATIONS AND PROGRAMS MANAGER
Base seeks an experienced, enthusiastic Operations and Programs Manager to join our part-time staff. The Operations and Programs Manager will be a detail-oriented team player, who can work in self-directed and collaborative settings to support day-to-day operations and oversee all Base programs.

Job description
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of three years’ experience in arts administration, with an emphasis on operations, programming, marketing and communications.
Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Familiarity with financial software, donor management platforms and ticketing systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Passion for and understanding of the value of experimentation in the arts and specifically in dance and performance.
Based in Seattle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
General knowledge and awareness of all happenings at Base, including programming, finance, marketing and development.
Access to and familiarity with all platforms the organization uses, including SquareUp, Squarespace, DocuSign, Givebutter, Mazlo, Quickbooks, EventBrite, Canva, TechSoup, Zoom, Google Workspace and Instagram.
Participate in event planning.
Assist with the creation and management of contracts for artists and curators.
Craft agendas and lead bi-weekly staff meetings.
Assist with the hiring process for all new employees.
Organizational Programming
Act as the Base Residency coordinator, managing all aspects of the Base Residency program including the annual selection process.
Oversee and support staff with 12 Minutes Max, Base’s short-form choreography showcase, up to three times a year.
Work collaboratively with staff to support Base rental programs, including Access Base and the Base Independent program.
Marketing and Communications
Oversee and support the Marketing and Programming Assistant with responsibilities related to social media, event ticketing pages and volunteer coordination.
Create and organize semi-regular newsletters through Squarespace.
Oversee website presence.
Make press releases for all Base events.
Financial Management
Assist the Interim Co-director with the strategizing and creation of the annual Operating Budget.
Create and manage budgets for all programs.
Administer all payments to contracted artists and curators.
Development and Fundraising
Assist the Interim Co-director in fundraising efforts when available.
Tasks include marketing and organizational efforts, donor management and fundraising event execution.
Manage all grants, including payment requests and final reports.
Other
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
LOGISTICAL CONSIDERATIONS
This is a mostly remote position with some onsite work required around events and performances.
Occasional evenings and weekends are required.
Valid driver’s license and transportation are strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION
This is a part-time, 10-hour a week position. Compensation is $35-$40/hr based on experience.
