taylor knight and anna thompson are co-founding artistic directors of slowdanger, a multidisciplinary performance entity utilizing movement, object, integrative technology, electronic instrumentation, and vocalization to produce performance since 2013. They synergize mediums, embracing iterative processes to delve into cyclical life patterning such as effort, transformation, and death. From devising performance to scoring plays, they transform their shape to adapt to various containers. slowdanger performs internationally in venues ranging from proscenium theater/gallery to nightclub/dive bar. They've been featured in Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch", MoMA, CMOA, The Warhol Museum, Usine C, and more. They were 2022 NEFA/National Dance Project awardees for their work, SUPERCELL. STORY BALLET is a recipient of the 2025 NPN Creation Fund, 2025 New Music USA Live Music For Dance, 2026 Eisemann Edge Initiative Project, and a Jacob's Pillow Pillow Lab Development Resident.

“While at Base they will be examining their archive of past processes scores and performances of their modular and adaptive work, ABYSS, a performance practice that instigates the body to be a site of change and protest within a burning world. With the support of two local collaborators, they will further distill and codify frameworks for future sharings of the work's performance interventions.”
