In conjunction with choreographer Peggy Piacenza's Base Artist Residency, this free workshop will engage the choreographic process of Piacenza’s latest dance work, The Event. Piacenza will propose a movement structure through which participants will move both individually and collectively. With Piacenza, participants will consider the meaning of trust while engaging the performative and choreographic elements of presence, time and risk. The workshop will end with a discussion about the joys and challenges inherent within any choreographic process.
