The Base Residency is a unique experience designed to give independent artists the chance to immerse in their projects and practices at Base. Through a panel process led by Base staff and a community panelist, four artists will be selected for three-week residencies between October 2019 and May 2020. The Base Residency is intended to support artists engaged in experimental or risk-taking work within disciplines of dance, theater, performance and multi-disciplinary art. Priority will be given to artists who can commit to making full and extensive use of their time at Base.

Applications are being accepted through Feb. 28, 2019. Late submissions will not be considered. The 2019-2020 class of Base Residents will be announced in spring 2019. This application doesn’t allow you to save your progress and return later. we suggest you work on your application offline and submit it when it when it is complete.
